Blue & Gold - CHARGER NEWS

3/22/19

While March Madness is currently on TV, we had our own March Madness today during our Student/Staff volleyball games to celebrate our hard work before enjoying Spring Break. I am thankful we will have a week to recuperate.

We want to congratulate all of our athletes for a great volleyball season. Our 8th grade boys ended the season as Conference Champs (3-way tie with Bryan and Clarendon Hills). Way to go Chargers! Get ready because track season will begin after break.

Our Coderz Club have had an excellent Code Monkey season. Our Chargers will finish the competition with our teams finishing in 2nd (Smiley Penguins), 3rd (Newbies), and 4th place (Nerdz).  It was a battle to the end and our Chargers dominated in coding on a national level!

Illinois Assessment of Readiness testing will begin Tuesday, April 2nd. We will test once per day for five days. With our numerous field trips across grade levels, our testing schedule is as follows: April 2, 4, 5, 8, 10. Students will need ear buds, headphones, or air pods to use with their Chromebook for testing. Please remind your children to charge their Chromebooks each night. We need fully charged Chromebooks for testing. Thank you for your support.

I love our busy schedules and activities that inspire and engage students to participate and enjoy the social aspects of middle school. As I walked around the school today, I was energized and joyful for all we have to celebrate.

Have a wonderful and relaxing spring break!

Respectfully,

Gina Pogue Reeder, Principal

Respetuosamente,

Gina Pogue Reeder, La Directora
