Churchville Middle School

Pogue Reeder, Gina (630) 832-8682 ex.3702 Principal -

My name is Gina Pogue Reeder and I am honored to be in my 5th year as Principal at Churchville Middle School.   Our goal is to build a collaborative community school with high expectations for our students and continual growth and reflection for our staff.

As the daughter of a School Superintendent and Special Education teacher, I have education in my blood.  After attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a life-changing internship with Governor Edgar, I worked for both the Department of Corrections and the Department of Human Services.  I realized that in order to stop the cycle of poverty, we must reach the children and the most effective manner was in the school setting.  I received my Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University of Chicago and worked for ten years in Woodridge District 68 as a School Social Worker.  I also served as Building Assistant to the Principal and Department Chairperson of Social Workers and Psychologists.  I completed my Master of School Leadership degree in May from Concordia University.  I am currently in a Doctoral program at Northern Illinois University.

On a personal note, I live in Naperville with my husband, David, and our two children; Peyton and Chase. I coach softball during the summer even though my daughter has rebelled against the sport I love in order to pursue her love of competitive cheerleading. I am still adjusting to being a cheer mom. My son, Chase, is an avid soccer, basketball, and baseball player.  Our weekends are spent traveling to each sporting event.  By calling competitive cheerleading a sport, shows my own personal growth and acceptance!   :)

Please do not hesitate to call me with any questions and/or concerns you may have at any time.  My direct line is 630-617-2233.
