How to Prepare/Study!

Practice Tests:


1. Air Trajectory

  • Watch this clip:
  • Prior to competition teams are to develop and use performance data and calibration charts to determine best launch parameters.
  • Make sure you have performance data and calibration charts
  • You will launch devices that you provide such as tennis balls, ping-pong balls or foam balls.
  • Your device, projectiles and weights all must be impounded the morning of the competition

2. Anatomy & Physiology

  • Understand the anatomy and physiology of the human body specifically the integumentary system, the skeletal system and the muscular system. 
  • Could be a written test or a lab station test
  • Study webpages and anatomy text books
  • You may bring one double sided paper and two calculators into the event

3. Bio-process Lab

  • Check the Power point on the Science Olympiad website
  • Consult for practice tests and answer keys
  • The competition will consist of lab stations and composing a lab report with all the steps of the scientific method.
