The Churchville Concert Choir is a course any student (grade 6, 7, or 8) may choose to enroll in. All classes occur during the school day, with one additional meeting on Thursday mornings from 7:30-8:15 am to combine all grade levels. Students learn the fundamentals of singing technique, learn to read music, sight sing, and develop solo and ensemble performing skills. Students perform two assemblies and concerts per year, as well as participate in a variety of other performance opportunities, trips, and special events.
Students may choose to be dually enrolled in either choir and band, or choir and orchestra. Students split their time evenly between the ensembles according to a schedule distributed by the directors. The Choral Handbook contains further information on grading and attendance policies, and contains a variety of other important information. This information may also be downloaded from the sidebar.
ANY student may join choir! We would love to have you! If you are interested, see Mrs. Sickinger at school for more information or email her. Her room is 007, right next to the cafeteria.
